Remote mapping

We can carry out remote mapping for more complex projects where testing of values, test drives and so on may be needed.

This is not real-time mapping. Instead, the customer reads out the engine control unit on their own and emails us the file.

The customer also needs to be able to measure certain values on their own, above all e.g. the AFR/lambda value with a wideband lambda sensor when we map turbo conversion projects.

The process starts with the customer reading out the original engine management system and emailing us the file. We then make a base map from the customer’s setup that is good enough to test drive safely and log values.

We go through with the customer which values are relevant to log at different load and rpm points. We then update the file based on the logged values and email it back, so the customer can write it to the engine control unit again via the OBD port.
