Programming to reach the engine’s potential

The software is remapped and programmed to make full use of the fuel’s capacity. Among other things, the maps that control the ignition are adjusted with advanced ignition angle, taking advantage of the properties of 98/99 octane fuel and producing more power. Original software is often adapted and mapped for low-octane fuel.

Lambda control is also remapped, since maximum combustion (“stoich”) and maximum power sit at different points on the lambda scale. For gasoline, maximum combustion, lambda 1, is at 14.7 parts air to every part of fuel, while maximum power is at 12.7 parts air. For some applications you might even want to go more rich to stay safe.

Engines with forced induction, turbocharged and supercharged engines, are adjusted by allowing higher boost pressure.

Engines with electronically controlled intake valves are mapped so that the valves can open further and for longer, achieving the best possible airflow in combination with different intakes.

Modern torque-based systems are mapped for higher torque.

Since all software is mapped and programmed in-house by Fekzen AB, the settings can be made to your wishes or on our recommendation.

We have been developing custom special software for over 20 years and can adjust for e.g. a different intake, special fuel or special applications that require a lower rev limit or limited top speed.
