Which engine do you want today?

We offer software specially programmed for engine swap projects. This means that we adjust the engine management software to work freely without the other systems in the car.

Modern engines are very advanced and complex, as they communicate with lots of other units in the car. This means you cannot simply take out an engine and use it for other projects. To begin with, the engine will not start at all, and if you did manage to get it running, the engine management system would go into “limp mode”, a fail-safe state.

To use a modern engine in an older classic car, a track car or a boat, all unnecessary surrounding systems need to be programmed out.

The engine management system also needs to be programmed to run independently of certain signals from other systems, e.g. the vehicle speed signal. In most projects the speed signal becomes irrelevant, and the systems that provide the engine with the speed signal are very hard to move over.

The whole system is programmed to act standalone and stay independent, and therefore not go into limp mode when it notices that other systems are missing and no longer respond.
