Over the years we have gathered information about injectors used in different projects with original engine management systems, and have now put together a guide to make it easier to find the right information.

Older engine management systems generally work better with older injector models, so it is better to use the older, well-proven models. We have therefore also put together suggestions of recommended models to use.

It is important to distinguish between high impedance (12–16 ohm) and low impedance (about 2–3 ohm) injectors. If you choose injectors with the wrong resistance, there is a big risk of burning the ECU. Most original engine management systems use high impedance injectors.

Original engine management systems require injectors that are linear to each other. This means that the percentage difference between e.g. original Bosch injectors and larger Bosch injectors is the same across the whole range. Whatever their flow at 100 %, it is important that they deliver linearly across the whole range. That is why you must use “real” injectors from Bosch or Siemens Deka/Continental.

Note – The Fekzen injector guide is for information only and all values must be verified before use. We reserve the right for any errors that may occur in the information and take no responsibility for any problems that may arise.
